What is the dalet? The dalet is the door.
The dalet was the means of access into the tent. The tent flap or door was situated so that the one coming in or going out the tent needed to stoop. It was designed to demonstrate that the way into another’s habitation was by submission. What does the dalet remind us about our Lord and savior?

Jesus said, “I am the door.” The condescension of the Son of God, passing through the portal of heaven and taking up his abode on earth in a miraculous act of humility, intervened in history at point BC/AD on the human timeline. He not only traversed the divide that separates eternity and time through that door, but he also is the only door through which we can enter into his glorious heavenly home.

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law. To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. (Galatians 4:4–5)
