Lesson 9_The TetBedrock 101

What is the tet?

The tet is the potter’s wheel.

The potter’s wheel produced the vessels that were necessary for daily function and long-term uses for storage. Each vessel had its purpose and utility for daily service as well as in worship and offerings to the Lord.

But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor. (2 Timothy 2:20)

What does the tet remind us about our Lord and savior?

The Spirit of the Letter: Jesus surrendered to the will of the Father for his mission to become the sin offering for us.
The Spirit of the Letter: Jesus surrendered to the will of the Father for his mission to become the sin offering for us.

The potter prepares us to be a ‘vessel of honor.’ Jesus surrendered to the will of the Father for his mission to become the sin offering for us, we also need to surrender to Christ and die to ourself in order for his will to be accomplished in our life, which is yielded to him. The mission Christ came to fulfill was at hand. He had come into the world for this hour.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:1–2)

If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.

(2 Timothy 2:21)
